International Walk to School Month

October 2008

iwalkTo encourage walking and cycling to school, students and parents are invited to take part in International Walk to School Month.

During this month, school authorities can choose a day, a week or a day per week to organize an activity like a group walk or a challenge for all students, etc. The key is to allow the greatest possible number of students and parents to experience the pleasures of walking and cycling—and to make sure everyone has lots of fun!

In over 42 countries around the world, millions of students, teachers and parents start the school year off on the right foot with International Walk to School Month.
